Bungoma County Inclusive Education Summit
14th to 17th September,2021
Bungoma County Inclusive Education Summit is organized by Disability Empowerment Network (DEN)-Kenya and Bungoma County Government in collaboration with My Educational Solutions and Multisensory Education solution from the United States of America in September 2021 as the first ever open debate on inclusive education in the region.
The debate involves all relevant stakeholders: decision makers, researchers, practitioners, persons with disabilities and their families. The summit seeks to recommend a programmatic support across the education sector in achieving the transition from policies to practice on inclusive Education
The Summit Objectives
- To launch a “Call to Action” on Inclusive Education for children with disabilities
- To reinforce a commitment to reaching all children and highlighting how the partnership mechanisms can contribute to achieve effective results for children with disabilities.
- To demonstrate commitment/pledges by partners towards realizing inclusive education for children with disabilities and reinforce the importance of collaboration between different actors
- To showcase good practice on Inclusive Education from DEN partners

The United Disabled Persons of Kenya(UDPK) is the umbrella organization of organizations of disabled persons (DPOs)organizations in Kenya.
Disability Empowerment Network(DEN) is part of the UDPK membership .
